Living Pipes is a story-driven game developed in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The game explores interaction through an AR-enabled maintenance interface, in a world run by a fictional tech corporation, Able Maintenance in near future.
Designed and implemented a fully 3D, interactable in-game menu using Unreal Engine 5’s UMG and Material Blueprints. The menu responds to player input through mouse-over interactions that trigger real-time material changes, enhancing tactile feedback and immersion.
Developed an in-game HUD inspired by AR glasses technology, with screen distortion effects and UI elements to simulate AR interface. Designed in Figma and polished in Illustrator/Photoshop, then implemented using UMG and custom material instances in UE5.
Also created a dynamic material for the in-game Able Maintenance app that displays real-time customer satisfaction levels, based on gameplay progression.
Modeled and textured the player character’s first-person arms using Maya and Substance Painter. These assets were fully rigged and animated within Unreal Engine 5.
Contributed to 3D prop creation and environmental set dressing.
